Pars Today – “Donald Trump,” the President of the United States, announced in an interview with Fox Business that he had sent a letter to Iran’s Leader.
Trump claimed he was willing to negotiate Iran’s nuclear program. However, at the same time, he once again repeated his past claims about Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. This is the second time Trump has sent a letter to Ayatollah Khamenei.
The first letter was delivered to Tehran on June 13, 2019, by the late Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The reaction of Ayatollah Khamenei to that letter garnered widespread global attention:
“I do not consider Trump worthy of exchanging any message with, and I have no response for him, nor will I respond.”
Iran’s representation at the United Nations, regarding Donald Trump’s claim of sending a letter to Iran, stated:
“We have not received any such letter to date.”
