What has Western capitalism done to women?

Pars Today- The West keeps masquerading as defender of freedom and equality, but once the Western social and economic structures are deeply taken into consideration, shocking realities are revealed.
March 8 has been called as “Women’s Day” and Western media and official currents embark on ballyhoo about the “freedom of women” in their own societies. Yet, a closer look reveals very bitter realities. According to Pars Today, The Western capitalist system not only is male chauvinist but also capital and profit are superior to human values, including women’s dignity.
Women are exploited in two ways in the Western system, namely, work and identity.
As in the field of work, women are paid less than men for the same activity. This gender gap is not due to the difference in ability but the outcome of the instrumental view towards women as merely cheap workforce.
It should be kept in mind that it was this very Western capitalist system which took women out of home and traditional jobs, during the industrial revolution, and dragged them to factories. This was exactly the method wielded during the exploitation of native Africans.
But concerning the field of identity, the situation is more complicated. Women have turned into tools for pleasing and entertaining men in the Western consumerist culture. The propaganda, fashion and sex industries allure women towards sexual attraction to the extent that even in job advertisements it is their physical appearance which speaks louder than their skills.
Today, the Western social media, such as “Only Fans” officially determine price for women’s bodies and ignore their talents. Such an attitude has not only besmirched the dignity of women, but also pushed back their motherly feature and manifested it as an obstacle.
What is the outcome?
In order to find their social status, women in the West have to change themselves according to the criteria imposed by capitalist men. Yet, the West describes this catastrophic process as “Liberating women from traditional bonds”!!! Is this really freedom and equality?
For sure, criticizing this highly flawed structure does not mean to ignore women’s successes in the West. Many women and girls, in spite of barriers, have achieved breakthroughs in scientific, cultural and managerial domains. However, these achievements cannot rule out ample contrasts and profound fundamental inequalities.
