Pars Today – Political experts and analysts have examined the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to engage in negotiations with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas.”
According to Pars Today, Firas Yaghi, an expert on Zionist regime affairs, pointed to the direct negotiations between the U.S. and Hamas, attributing them to the Trump administration’s realization that direct dialogue would expedite the release of captives and serve as a prelude to broader regional plans.
On the other hand, Hassan Lafi, another Palestinian analyst, stated that the U.S. negotiations with Hamas have both positive and negative dimensions. The positive aspect, he said, is the Trump administration’s acknowledgment that resolving the captive issue is impossible without Hamas, marking a failure of military pressure exerted by Netanyahu.
According to him, the negative aspect is the U.S.’s deception of Hamas to secure the release of more captives without committing to ending the war.
Iyad Al-Qara, a Palestinian political analyst, said that the U.S. negotiations with Hamas represent a significant step toward opening a broader dialogue that goes beyond the captive issue, potentially leading to a cessation of the Gaza war and compelling the occupiers to fulfill their obligations.
He added that these negotiations indicate Washington’s diminishing trust in the Israeli occupiers and their failure to defeat Hamas or politically sideline it.
Meanwhile, Abdel Bari Atwan, a prominent Arab world analyst, said that Donald Trump’s turn to negotiations stems from the frustration of his administration and its envoy in imposing conditions on Hamas through Arab mediators.
The Zionist regime’s i24 network, in this regard, reported on the futile threats issued by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu against Hamas, noting that the U.S. President and the Zionist regime’s prime minister have been unable to implement their threats and are now seeking friendship with Hamas.
Amid Netanyahu’s ongoing inability to achieve the war’s objectives in Gaza, the Zionist regime’s Channel 13 television, citing some Zionist officials, reported that if Donald Trump reaches agreements with Hamas, it would be very difficult for Benjamin Netanyahu to oppose them, and the Americans would implement them.
This comes as the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” continues to insist on the fulfillment of all its demands, including the implementation of a prisoner exchange, the complete withdrawal of occupying forces from Gaza, and a commitment from the Zionist regime not to resume the war, as prerequisites for continuing negotiations.
