Pars Today- Imam Khamenei stressed the continuation of innovative defense breakthroughs and described this year’s demonstrations on Bahman 22 (February 10, marking victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution) as a popular uprising and great national move under the media bombardment of the enemy.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution warmly thanked the Iranian people and said, “The nation chanted their unity and demonstrated their identity, character, ability and steadfastness against the enemy’s threats.”
According to Pars Today, the Leader said to the visiting scientists, experts and officials of the defense industry on Wednesday morning that the issue of defense of the nation and security of the country is very important. He added, “Iran’s defense power is proverbial today. The friends of the revolution are proud and the enemies are scared of it, and this reality is important for the country.”
Referring to the period when the world bullies refused to sell the defense items needed by Iran even several times more expensive than the real price, Ayatollah Khamenei stated, “Now, the same bullies tell Iran, ‘Don’t sell military equipment.’ There is a wide gap between that ‘We don’t sell’ and this ‘Don’t sell’ which has been filled thanks to the efforts of scientists and experienced minds of young specialists.”
He considered the spectacular defense progress, despite persistent sanction by enemies as extraordinary and said, “Iran’s defense industry conditions are in such a way that any part that they refuse to provide us, the youths will make better than that inside the country.”
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran said elsewhere in his speech, “The defense industry breakthroughs have upgraded our defense ranking in the world, but this does not mean to stop and be content with the status quo.”
He said that the access to state-of-the-art military progress is originated in the Qur’anic command of maximum and continuous preparation against the enemy and the need to defend the country against ill-wishers and added, “Progress should continue in all military sections.”
Imam Khamenei deemed true progress owing to innovation and applying young, faithful, revolutionary, scholarly, competent and talented forces and added, “Faith gives power and ability to human being and keeps him in the right path and being revolutionary means believing in the great political and social development which has occurred in Iran with the blessing of the Islamic Revolution.”
Before the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei visited the exhibition of “Might of 1403” including the latest achievements and capabilities of the Iranian scientists and specialists in the defense industry. This exhibition was the place to showcase the advanced equipment and modern technologies applied in them in the fields of air defense, ballistic and cruise missiles, smart space, drone and aerial ammunitions, naval and energy frigates.
After visiting the exhibition, the Leader congratulated the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (May God hasten his reappearance) [February 14] as a real global Eid (Feast) for mankind. he added, “Justice, hope in establishment of justice and the emergence of the Savior has been the permanent wish of human being throughout history and this wish will undoubtedly materialize.”
He called Bahman 22 as the great and historical feast of the Iranian nation and, felicitating this fateful day, added, “No revolution has been recorded for which the nation pours to the streets after 46 years to celebrate their revolution.”
Ayatollah Khamenei, then, reminded the propaganda bombardment and the insidious and incessant soft war of the enemy against the owners of the revolution, namely, the Iranian nation, and added, “In such conditions, the [Iranian] nation took to the streets in cities and villages duly and aware of the time, and expressed their words and stances.”
