Araghchi: Netanyahu’s shameless remarks threatening regional peace and security

Pars Today- Iran’s foreign minister said that the proposal to forcibly resettle Palestinians is in violation of all principles and standards of international law and the UN Charter as it completes Israel’s plot for genocide and obliteration of Palestine.
In continuation of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s consultations with other countries and international organizations about the developments of Gaza, especially the conspiracy of forcible resettlement of the Palestinian people in other countries, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, had a phone contact with the UN Chief, António Guterres on Monday.
According to Pars Today, during the phone call, Araghchi stressed the need to adopt a decisive and clear stance by the UN, particularly the Security Council, against this dangerous plot which is threatening the global peace and security.
He added, “The proposal of forcible resettlement of Palestinians violates all principles and standards of the international law and the UN Charter and is indeed a complementary for the Israeli regime’s plan of genocide and obliteration of Palestine.”
Elaborating on the Israeli prime minister’s recent stance to transfer Palestinians to Saudi Arabia as an obvious example of brazen and shameless approach of the regime, Iran’s top diplomat emphasized that the international community should prevent normalization of lawlessness and criminality of the occupying regime.
Guterres, for his part, announced the UN’s explicit opposition to the plan of forcible resettlement of Palestinians from their ancestral land and, underscoring the need to respect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation, made it clear that [any] forcible resettlement of the people of Gaza is totally ruled out and unacceptable.

Araghchi said during his phone call with his Saudi counterpart, Feisal bin Farhan, that the American-Zionist plan of forcible resettlement of the people of Gaza and making them homeless in other countries is in pursuit of accomplishing the plot of colonial obliteration of Palestine, and stressed the need for a decisive move by the global community to oppose and confront this conspiracy.
Describing Netanyahu’s shameless remarks on formation of a Palestinian country in Saudi Arabia, the Iranian foreign minister said that these words indicate the occupying regime’s unprecedented rebellion and a threat against peace and security in the region.
Saudi foreign minister, also, stressed his country’s fixed stance to firmly oppose any plan of forcible resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza and supported Iran’s proposal of holding the ministerial meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization for adopting a unified stance against the plot.
Malaysian foreign minister totally rejects forcible resettlement of Gazans
The Iranian foreign minister, in a phone call with his Malaysian counterpart, Mohammad Hassan”, appreciating Kuala Lumpur’s support for the steadfast people of Palestine, especially during the 16 months of Israeli genocide, described the forcible resettlement of the Palestinian people in continuation of the unholy colonial scheme to obliterate Palestine. Araghchi, condemned the move and called for a decisive and monolithic stance by the great and effective Islamic countries against the dangerous conspiracy.
The Malaysian foreign minister, for his part, pointed to the country’s condemnation of any transferring of people from Gaza and announced that forcible resettlement of the Gazans is tantamount to ethnic cleansing and totally rejected.
The American President, Donald Trump, on February 4, called for complete evacuation of the Gaza Strip and resettlement of the inhabitants of the region in the neighboring Arab countries and other regions in a bid to spread the US hegemony over Gaza. Trump had already ordered Egypt and Jordan to settle the people of Gaza in their countries.
