16 percent growth of Iran’s trade with Eurasia, Nano products exports to 49 countries/ Economic news

Pars Today- The growth of Iran’s trade with Eurasian nations, exports of Nano products to 49 countries, %50 increase of transit from Milak border terminal and Iran’s proposal for strengthening railway cooperation with Shanghai organization member states are excerpts of economic news in Iran.
According to the report of the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the country’s exports to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states had a rise of %16 during the first five months of Iranian calendar year (1403) in comparison to the same period in last year. According to the report of Pars Today, the volume of Iranian exports to these countries has been 2.2 million tons which shows a %35 growth in comparison to last year’s same period.
The report also indicates that the value of Iran’s exports to the five members of EEU has been $748 million.
Exports of Nano products to 49 nations
Emad Ahmadvand, Secretary of Iran’s Presidential Headquarters of Nano-Technology, said, “Last year (1402) $145 million have been earned from the exports of Nano products whose destination has been 49 countries in 5 continents. This shows a growth of over %100 in comparison to the year 1401.”
He added, “The products in the field of urbanization and electronics are considered the top exported products in the domain of Iran’s Nano.”
%50 rise of transit via Iranian Milak border terminal
Ayyub Kord, Director General of Roads and Transportation of Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran, informed of the transit of 470 thousand and 52 tons of goods via the border terminal of Milak in 1403, which indicates a growth of %50 in comparison to the same period in last year.
Referring to the transit of this volume of goods transit by 8,192 trucks, Kord added, “12,675 tons of this figure were related to the entry transit and 475,377 tons were related to the exit transit via Milak border terminal.”
He announced that the major goods transited during this period were solar panel, automobile spare parts and engine oil and continued, “An average of more than 180 trucks are commuting through Milak border terminal every day.”
Iran’s proposal for bolstering railway cooperation with Shanghai members
“Jabbar Ali Zakeri”, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, and CEO of Iranian Railway, presenting Iran’s proposals for strengthening of railway and logistic cooperation, during the fifth Summit of Railroad CEOs of Shanghai member states, explained Iran’s strategic situation in connecting the two continents of Asia and Europe.
During the session which was hosted by Moscow, Zakeri raised the proposal of holding the trilateral session of Iran-Russia-Azerbaijan Republic in order to equalize tariffs and increase cargo transportation.
Pointing to Iran’s permanent membership at Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), he added, “Islamic Republic of Iran’s joining this organization accelerated the expansion of economic and commercial cooperation between Iran and the members of this organization more than ever.”
Zakeri reiterated in the end, “Taking into consideration Iran’s special situation as the bridge connecting the East and West of Asia and also as a passage between the two important continents of Europe and Asia, the Islamic Republic of Iran Railway is after using this opportunity to bolster and expand partnership and cooperation in the fields of transit and logistics with the SCO member states.”
