Pars Today – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized the necessity of completing the Arabic translation of the Tasnim interpretation of the Holy Quran for its use in the Islamic world.
The statements of Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, during his meeting with the organizers of the International Conference on Tasnim Interpretation, held on February 22, 2025, were published this morning, Monday (February 24), at the venue of the conference in Qom.
According to Pars Today, citing the official website of the Leader’s office, Imam Khamenei, during this meeting, praised the distinguished personality of Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli, the great Quranic exegete and author of Tasnim interpretation.
The Leader described the Islamic seminary as indebted to the efforts of this esteemed scholar, who dedicated over 40 years to research, teaching, and compiling Tasnim interpretation.
Imam Khamenei added: Of course, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli’s contributions to rational and transmitted sciences, as well as his works in jurisprudence, philosophy, and mysticism, are all significant and commendable. However, none of them can be compared to his Quranic exegesis.
Ayatollah Khamenei described Tasnim interpretation as a source of pride for Shia and the Islamic seminary. Highlighting some of the characteristics of this interpretation, the Leader said: The strength of the rational thinking of the esteemed exegete has greatly contributed to understanding the subtle and profound points hidden in the verses of the Quran.
This exegete, similar to Tafsir al-Mizan but more up-to-date and extensive, is filled with valuable and useful content, making it a comprehensive encyclopedia.
The Leader also honored the memory of Allameh Tabatabaei, the author of Tafsir al-Mizan, as the founder of the focus on Quranic interpretation and concepts in the Islamic seminary and noted: The holding of nearly 200 Quranic interpretation classes in the Qom seminary is good news, and this approach should be strengthened and sustained.

Tasnim interpretation, authored by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, has been compiled and written in 80 volumes. The compilation of this interpretation is the result of 40 years of teaching and research by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, along with the collaboration of dozens of researchers and scholars in research groups. It is considered one of the “Quran-to-Quran” interpretations.
The author’s method involves citing the relevant verse or verses and examining them through four stages: “summary of interpretation,” “interpretation of the verse,” “subtleties and allusions,” and “narrational discussion.”
