Pars Today – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, on the verge of the funeral procession for the martyred Secretary-General of Hezbollah, stated: “We stand by the covenant we made.”
The bodies of the martyrs Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and Seyyed Hashem Safieddin, the head of Hezbollah’s Political Council, will be laid to rest today, Sunday, February 23, 2025 in southern Lebanon.
According to Pars Today, Masoud Pezeshkian wrote in a message on the social media platform X: “The great nation of Lebanon deserves to take pride in all its brave sons (especially these two noble Seyyeds); heroes who remained faithful to their covenant and defended the honor of the Ummah until they achieved martyrdom in the path of God.” The President of Iran added in his message: “We stand by the covenant we made.”
Ghalibaf: Nasrallah is the pride of the Islamic Ummah and the Resistance Front
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament , before departing for Lebanon to attend the funeral of the resistance leaders, said: “Today marks a pivotal moment in the greatness of the Resistance Front, the Islamic Ummah, and the people of Lebanon.” The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament emphasized: “Martyr Nasrallah is the pride of the Islamic Ummah, the Islamic world, and the Resistance Front.”
Araghchi: Seyyed Hassan turned resistance into a strategic equation
The Iranian Foreign Minister, who traveled to Beirut to attend the funeral of the martyrs Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyyed Hashem Safieddin, stated: Today’s funeral will show the world that the resistance and Hezbollah are alive and remain loyal to their ideals.
In a note, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized: “In an era when many leaders of the Arab and Islamic world bowed to external pressures, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, with steadfastness and dignity, transformed the ideology of resistance into a strategic equation at the regional level.”

Ali Larijani, Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and member of Iran’s Expediency Council, emphasized: “Martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah awakened awareness and vigilance in the youth of the region and stood as a model of a Muslim politician.”

Leaders of monotheistic religions in Iran, during a meeting held in honor of the martyred figure Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah at the Saint Joseph Church in Tehran, emphasized that we must amplify the voice of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah through media and remain united.
Palestine and Lebanon must be freed from this suffering. The Church has a duty to be the voice of the people and to convey the voices of those in Palestine who are not heard by the world.
