Atwan: Proposal to relocate Palestinians will not prolong Zionist regime’s life

Pars Today – A prominent Arab analyst stated: Gaza is not for sale, and Egypt, with its ancient heritage of over eight thousand years, is also not for sale.
Abdel Bari Atwan, a prominent Arab world analyst on Thursday described Cairo’s rejection of the Israeli opposition leader’s proposal on Gaza as a decisive response and a show of support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
He emphasized: Gaza is not for sale, and Egypt, with its ancient heritage of over eight thousand years, is not for sale either. According to Pars Today, Abdel Bari Atwan, in an article published in Ray al-Yawm, referred to a proposal by Yair Lapid, the head of the opposition in the Zionist regime, made to Cairo concerning Gaza.
Atwan noted that Egypt’s reaction to Lapid’s suggestion, which proposed that Cairo administer Gaza for 15 years in exchange for the cancellation of Egypt’s debts, was a swift and decisive rejection, reaffirming Egypt’s principles regarding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.
This analyst continued: The suggestion of this proposal by the head of the opposition in the occupying regime during the AIPAC conference in Washington demonstrates the failure of all American and Israeli plans in Gaza and the West Bank, from forced relocation to genocide, and especially the aim to end the ruling of resistance in Gaza.
The analyst added: The key question now is, what happens after the defeat of the occupiers and their army in Gaza? Gaza is not for sale, and Egypt, with its ancient heritage of over eight thousand years, is not for sale either. This proposal by Lapid will not prolong the life of the apartheid regime.
Al-Riyadh newspaper: Trump’s plan for Gaza is a fantasy
The Saudi newspaper al-Riyadh analyzed the U.S. administration’s proposal for Gaza in a report, emphasizing that implementing any plan related to Gaza without the full approval of Arab countries is impossible. It deemed Trump’s plan a fantastical idea, noting that given the position of Arab countries on the relocation of Gaza Strip residents, the likelihood of Arab intervention to confront its implementation is high.
A plan that will not be realized
Seyyed Hadi Seyyed Afqahi, an expert on West Asian affairs, noting that Trump’s plan for Gaza has no justification, said: This plan has no legal, international, ethical, or humanitarian justification. In this regard, Trump is in a state of confusion, anxiety, and lack of focus.
Seyyed Afqahi emphasized: Currently, even a country like Canada, led by Justin Trudeau, who used to be subservient to the U.S., is now challenging America. Trump’s stance will not materialize, and he cannot expel the residents of Gaza.
