Pars Today – Zionist sources, continuing their acknowledgment of the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (Hamas)’s ability to rebuild itself, once again expressed astonishment at this capability.
The Zionist regime imposed more than 15 months of war on the Gaza Strip, during which it committed an unprecedented genocide against the people of Gaza and completely destroyed Gaza’s infrastructure. According to Pars Today, one of the most important objectives of the Zionist regime in its war against Gaza and committing genocide was the elimination of Hamas.
Now, about three weeks after the ceasefire between the Zionist regime and the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine, signs of Hamas’s capability to revive its position in the Gaza Strip are becoming increasingly evident, to the point that various Zionist media outlets and personalities have been compelled to acknowledge this capability of Hamas.
Almog Boker, a Zionist journalist, stated: “It is astonishing to see how Hamas managed to rebuild itself within 72 hours and regain control of the Gaza Strip. It seems the time has come to stop our storytelling; Hamas has full control over the Gaza Strip.”
Similarly, a researcher at the “Misgav” security think tank and a former senior officer of Shin Bet, stated: “Anyone who claims victory over Hamas is delusional.” Retired Israeli army general Amir Avivi also acknowledged: “We are in a situation where the process of Hamas’s power reconstruction has outpaced its destruction by the Israeli army.”
Previously, the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth emphasized in a report that the scenes observed from Hamas military parades during the prisoner exchange leave no doubt that, after 15 months of war, the Hamas movement remains a significant power in the Gaza Strip. Yedioth Ahronoth, quoting Western officials, admitted: “The Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (Hamas) has managed to restore much of its capacity to manage affairs in parts of the Gaza Strip.”
The key question is: What capabilities does the Hamas movement possess for its reconstruction? In response to this question, it is essential first to highlight Hamas’s popular support base, which became apparent after the ceasefire and the widespread public reception. This popular backing enabled Hamas to conduct new recruitment and quickly resolve its human resource challenges.
Another critical capability lies in the presence of leaders within Hamas’s power structure, ensuring that the loss of commanders does not appear significant. Mohammad Sinwar is one such leader who, after the martyrdom of his brother Yahya Sinwar, played a crucial role in Hamas’s military structure, including new recruitment efforts.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (Hamas) is rebuilding its power and, despite extensive attacks by the Zionist regime, has managed to attract new forces. This report highlights the role of “Mohammad Sinwar,” the younger brother of “Yahya Sinwar” (who was martyred in October 2024), in leading this process. Another significant capability is Hamas’s power and capacity to manage affairs in the Gaza Strip, a capability unmatched by any other Palestinian group.
In this regard, news sources reported that Hamas successfully eliminated criminal groups that attacked aid convoys and suppressed looters who plundered aid supplies in front of Israeli soldiers without their intervention. These capabilities, along with other advantages that the Hamas movement possesses, will likely lead the Zionist regime to witness further surprises from Hamas in the coming days and months.
